fees and hours

My fees are as follows:

  • £2.75 per hour for pre-schoolers (with a minimum of £25 per day)
  • £3.00 per hour for school children (for care before or after school)
  • School children attending during school holidays for more than six hours per week will be charged the lower rate of £2.75 per hour
  • Siblings attending together (full-time) will be eligible for discounted rates

Fees are to be paid in advance on a weekly basis on the first day of the childminding week

Fees are to be paid by cash preferably as it is difficult to get to the bank regularly to pay in cheques

My Opening Hours are:

I am available Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 6.00 pm. This is during term time and during school holidays. I do not usually work weekends or after 6.00 pm unless it is a one off and it is agreed in advance, this is to allow me time to spend with my own family.

Holidays:

Holidays run from September for 12 months. A minimum of two weeks notice is required of holidays by both parties. As part of our contractual agreement, both myself and a child’s parents are able to take up to five weeks holiday per year (5 x the number of days cared for in a week, e.g., attendance of 4 days per week means holidays per year of 20 days). If I am on holiday, no fees are to be paid. If the child is on holiday, half normal fees are to be paid. If a parent wishes their child to have more than five weeks holiday per year, this is fine providing that normal fees are still paid. I know several local childminders who are usually able to care for the children whilst I am on holiday.

Sickness:

If I am sick or unable to work for any reason, there will be no fees to pay. If the child or parent is ill and unable to attend, normal fees are to be paid. Poorly or sick children should not be attending (please see full sickness policy).

Bank Holidays:

Normally, I will not work bank holidays as most parents are not working anyway so are available for the child. Normal fees are to be paid for bank holidays as these are statutory holidays.

However, if parents require my services, this can be discussed although fees will be charged at double the normal rate.

Overtime:

If only ten minutes or so, I will not charge providing this is not a regular occurrence. Any other overtime will be charged at the normal rate to the nearest hour. If overtime is required during unsocial hours (before 7.30am or after 5.30pm) fees will be charged at 1.5 times the normal rate.

Absences:

If there are any occasional days off required by myself, no fees will need to be paid. If a child has an occasional day off, full fees are required (as a general rule if my service is available but is not being used, normal fees apply. If my service is not available, no fees are to be paid).
